Biography

Caroline O'Leary is a specialist oncology registrar in Ireland. She is currently completing a clinical year at University Hospital Waterford as part of her specialist oncology training under the Royal College of Physicians Ireland. She studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and completed her internal medicine training at Beaumont Hospital Dublin and Cork University Hospital. She became a member of the Royal College of Physicians Ireland in May 2021. Prior to this she completed an undergraduate at Trinity College Dublin and an MSc at the London School of Economics.

She has a specific interest in thoracic oncology and her research has focused on the use of immunotherapy in the treatment of lung cancer with a special focus on immunotoxicity and it’s management.
