After finishing the School of Medicine at Universidad Complutense, Madrid, Dr. Gomez-Lumbreras completed a 3-year residency program in primary care at Hospital La Paz, Madrid.
For almost a decade she practiced medicine in primary care focusing on cardiovascular prevention as well as women’s health. Since then, her focus shifted to research in pharmacology, and completed a 4-year residency in Clinical Pharmacology at Hospital Val d’Hebron, Barcelona.
Dr. Gomez-Lumbreras’s research is concerned with pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology in cardiovascular conditions and the use of psychotropics in children and pregnancy. In 2020 she joined the University of Utah, Salt Lake City Utah. She is a research associate with the College of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacotherapy.
