Hsi-Hsun Lin, MD, PhD

Biography

Hsi-Hsun Lin, M.D., Ph.D. is the chief and professor of Division of Infectious Diseases of Department of Internal Medicine at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital. He is currently the chairman of Taiwan Love and Hope Association and serves as a consultant on the AIDS Prevention and Control Committee for the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Taiwan. He received his M.D. from National Defense Medical Center, Taipei and obtained his Ph.D. degree from Institute of Clinical Medicine at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University. He completed a series of subspecialist training of infectious diseases at Taipei and Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan. He undertook a research fellowship at the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, Rockefeller University, New York, USA. His research interests include molecular epidemiology of HIV and viral hepatitis coinfections, combination antiretroviral therapy, and clinical microbiology. He has published over 180 articles in a variety of journals. Dr. Lin is a member of the Taiwan Infectious Diseases Society and Taiwan AIDS Society.
