Kevin Robert Frost, BM

Biography

Kevin Robert Frost has been with amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, since September 1994, becoming CEO in March 2007. He was appointed by President Obama in February 2010 to the Presidential Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS (PACHA), which advises the government on HIV/AIDS prevention and research. Mr. Frost played a key role in international AIDS conferences, serving on advisory committees for the XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona and the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto in 2006.


Mr. Frost has contributed to U.S. Food and Drug Administration hearings for various drug applications, including those from Chiron Corporation and Gilead. His research has been published in esteemed journals like The Lancet and the Journal of Infectious Diseases. Before becoming vice president of clinical research and prevention programs
at amfAR, Mr. Frost worked extensively in Asia, developing the TREAT Asia program, a network of over 50 healthcare facilities in 17 countries aimed at improving treatment capacity.


Earlier in his career, he coordinated inpatient care for the AIDS program at Bellevue Hospital in New York City and served as a research assistant at New York University Medical Center, focusing on studies related to cytomegalovirus retinitis in HIV/AIDS patients.
