Linghua Li, MD, PhD

Biography

Dr. Li is the Vice-Director of the Centre for Infectious Diseases of Guangzhou Eighth People’s Hospital. She is a specialist in charge of the AIDS Clinical Service at Guangzhou Eighth People’s Hospital from 2007 till now. She is also in charge of the training of interns and residents about infectious diseases. Her research interest is in AIDS-related opportunistic infections and antiretroviral therapy of HIV.

Dr. Li is currently Vice Chairman of Youth Committee for China Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS Association, and Vice Deputy director of Youth Committee for Infectious Diseases Branch of Guangdong Medical Association

Dr. Li graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Peking University Medical School in 1997 and received Ph.D on Infectious Diseases of The Third Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. She was a visiting scholar at Infectious Diseases Department of Duke University and University of North Caronia in USA from 2011 to 2013.

Dr Li has co-authored over 50 papers in local and international peer-reviewed journals and held nearly one million funding from national and local grants.
