The Asia-Pacific HIV Clinical Forum 2022 provided an independent scientific program involving the world’s leading experts and was specifically designed for HIV healthcare professionals in the Asia-Pacific region and focused on optimizing treatment for their patients. 

This program featured challenging plenary lectures followed by ample time for Q&A and debate, stimulating interaction, and the sharing of knowledge within the HIV-treating community. The program included virtual networking opportunities for community building providing delegates with the unique opportunity to meet their colleagues in a focused and scientific setting.

The HIV Clinical Forum is a series of interactive programs that provide an independent scientific program on emerging topics in HIV, involving experts where HIV clinicians and allied healthcare professionals receive updates on the latest developments related to HIV management, where they can share their clinical experience and present results from their ongoing and completed cohorts/research programs.

Furthermore, the HIV Clinical Forum provides an educational setting where healthcare professionals can acquire specific skills that will enhance their capabilities to interpret research results and even develop new research projects.

The Asia Pacific HIV Clinical Forum 2022 is scheduled to take place as a virtual forum from 14-15 June 2022. To keep the meeting accessible to all our participants, virtual participants can attend plenary sessions and roundtable discussions during the day of the meeting.

Who Should Attend?
Primary: Medical doctors involved in the management and treatment of people living with HIV in the region

Secondary: Researchers

Tertiary: Healthcare workers, clinical virologists, microbiologists, scientists, pharmacologists, nurses, post-doctoral researchers, students, and other healthcare professionals involved in treating people living with HIV.
Meeting Objectives
With the HIV Clinical Forum program, we aim to:

• Build a community of healthcare professionals devoted to providing optimal clinical care for their patients
• Create a platform for interactive information exchange on novel treatment strategies and options
• Translate the latest studies and research achievements into clinical guidance for the optimal management of people living with HIV
Learning Objectives
After participating in the HIV Clinical Forum, participants will be able to:

• Describe the similarities and differences between the different international/ regional treatment guidelines.
• Select an optimal treatment strategies for their patients understanding the various clinical parameters affecting the choice of regimens.
• Recall to latest developments for HIV preventions.
• Discuss the suitability of oral versus intramuscular injections for pre-exposure prophylaxis.
• Summarize and compare the options for starting antiretroviral treatment.
• Describe the concept of early diagnosis and rapid start.
• Review the treatment options for patients failing on their current regimen.

To claim the CME points, members of the societies must log on to the virtual congress portal and attend the full sessions. Additional information such as membership number or license number might be required after the event.
