About this Program

The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed the world. Not only affecting the health care system and public life, but also the traditional models for sharing scientific data and providing medical education. Despite this challenge, there is nevertheless an urgent need to provide clear and concise, expert-based clinical guidance to healthcare professionals fighting the pandemic. The COVID-19 Online Educational Program addressed this unmet medical need.

Stefano Vella, MD (Catholic University of Rome, Italy) served as Program Director for Pilot edition on 7 - 8 April 2020.

Topics of Interest
The series will include continuous updates on COVID-19 infection control, epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, pathogenesis, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations and management, emerging variants, therapeutic options, vaccine development and Implementation, public health measures, and treatments.

The program will encompass a wide range of topics, from vaccine research, immune response, SARS CoV-2 infection, diagnostics, and the use of artificial intelligence to contain the spread of the virus, to clinically orientated lectures on emerging treatment options and novel insights into disease pathophysiology.
