Dr Archary is a Professor of Paediatric Infectious Disease Specialist in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at Victoria Mxenge Hospital affiliated to the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, University of KwaZulu-Natal, and Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI). He is actively involved with the management of children with HIV both locally and nationally within South Africa. His research interests include antiretroviral drug therapeutics, viral resistance and optimal timing of initiation of antiretroviral therapy in the developing world.
