CME Series | HIV, Coinfections, and Comorbidities in Resource-Limited Settings

This module explores the complex interplay between HIV and co-occurring infections and conditions in resource-limited settings. Through a series of focused lectures, participants will gain insights into the clinical and epidemiological challenges posed by HIV when it overlaps with human papillomavirus (HPV), viral hepatitis, chronic kidney disease, and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Emphasis is placed on practical, integrated approaches to care that respond to real-world constraints.

What Will Set You Apart?

By completing this module, you will:

  • Comprehend the clinical implications of HIV coinfections with HPV, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C
  • Discuss the interplay between HIV infection and chronic kidney disease in resource-limited settings
  • Understand the epidemiological patterns and clinical consequences of HIV coinfections with neglected tropical diseases (NTDs)

Is This Program for You?

This program is designed for clinicians, nurses, public health professionals, and researchers working in HIV care, especially in resource-limited settings. It is particularly relevant for those managing complex cases involving coinfections or comorbidities, and for healthcare providers seeking integrated, practical strategies to improve outcomes for people living with HIV.
