Biography

Dr. Andemam Timothy is a senior public health physician and health systems leader with over 18 years of experience spanning clinical care, hospital administration, and government-led public health programming. He currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at the Taraba State Ministry of Health and is the State Focal Person for HIV/Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) and Viral Hepatitis programmes.

In his current role, he coordinates viral hepatitis prevention, testing, and treatment in line with national guidelines, while serving as Secretary of the State Viral Hepatitis Technical Working Group. He works closely with government agencies, donor organizations, and technical partners on programme design, implementation, and performance monitoring.

Dr. Timothy has extensive experience in health systems strengthening, clinical governance, and capacity building, including leading COVID-19 response efforts at the local government level. He combines strong clinical expertise with programmatic leadership and has contributed to policy development, strategic planning, and multi-partner health initiatives.

He holds a Master of Science in Public Health and has additional training in health leadership and management. His work focuses on advancing integrated, data-driven approaches to disease control and elimination, particularly in HIV and viral hepatitis.
