Aleš Chrdle is an Infectious Disease Specialist and Clinical Director at the České Budějovice Hospital,České Budějovice, Czech Republic, and Honorary Consultant at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool, UK. His clinical and research interests include hepatitis C and HIV therapy in difficult to treat situations. Apart form this, he is actively involved in the management of Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia and diagnostics of zoonotic infections, especially tick-borne encephalitis, Lyme disease, and tularemia
