Dr. Andrew Grimson is the Charles A. Alexander Professor in Biological Sciences, within the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Cornell University, Ithaca. He received his B.A. from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Whitehead Institute in Boston. His research typically combines high-throughput experimental and computational genomics, together with traditional molecular experimental approaches. Research in the Grimson laboratory is focused on gene regulation, in particular, understanding age-related gene regulatory events in CD8+ T cells, and immune dysregulation in Myalgic encephalomyelitis / chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).
