Biography

Dr Bonnie Wong is the Consultant of Special Preventive Programme, a service unit under the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, that is responsible for supporting the development of strategies and coordinating community responses related to the prevention and control of HIV and viral hepatitis.

Dr Wong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and received her infectious disease training at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong and postdoctoral research fellowship at the Department of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control at Johns Hopkins University. She serves as honorary clinical associate professor for the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, the Department of Microbiology, and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Department of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong. She is a board member of the Specialty Board in Infectious Disease under the Hong Kong College of Physicians.
