Biography
Dr. Bolin Cao is currently an associate professor in the School of Media and Communication of Shenzhen University. She is the head of the Department of Internet and New Media, and is also responsible for the professional master’s program in health communication.
She received her PhD from the City University of Hong Kong and did her postdoc research with University of North Carolina – Project China. She has published more than 20 articles in top SSCI/SCI journals, including Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Medical Internet Research, AIDS & Behaviors, and Chinese Journal of Communication. She has also led many projects related to Health Communication, including the National Social Science Fund of China. She has won many awards and recognitions, such as Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme(HKPFS), Outstanding Academic Performance Award of City University of Hong Kong, Excellent Conference Paper at International Communication Association (ICA) Regional Conference, Youth Talents Project of Shenzhen University, and Excellent Paper in New Media Studies.
