Biography

Chelsea Coakley is the Director of Research, Curriculum & Innovation at Grassroot Soccer, and oversees their research, monitoring & evaluation and approach to youth-centred design. She previously worked for the Children's Investment Foundation (CIFF), where she designed and managed maternal and child health and nutrition investments in East and Southern Africa. She has also worked for the Millennium Challenge Corporation and Global Affairs Canada (previously CIDA) on health and social sector programmes across East, Southern and Francophone West Africa regions. She has extensive experience in health systems strengthening, social and behaviour change communication, large-scale programme design and management and taking innovations to scale. She holds degrees from McGill University and Stellenbosch University.
