Biography
Diana Zhong is an Infectious Diseases fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research background includes work with tumor immunology at the National Cancer Institute and with the gut microbiome at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, as well as digital innovation and gamification in medical education at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Zhong’s current academic interests include public health, vaccinology, and medical education. Her research work at Johns Hopkins has included work on dengue and Zika virus vaccines, the serologic response to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination and infection in a cohort of healthcare workers, and vaccine education. She also completed a Master of Health Sciences (MHS) in Clinical Investigation and the Vaccine Science Certificate Program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. This fall, Dr. Zhong will be starting as a clinician educator and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She also plans to continue her vaccine education work at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
