Biography

Elain Lebani is a healthcare assistant and community engagement officer who links health, climate justice, gender equality, and youth empowerment to create holistic impact for communities. At Sustain 267, she has led over 20 clean-ups, including 10+ community-wide campaigns, using them to promote eco-consciousness while engaging stakeholders to influence policy. As a Youth Advocate with Sentebale, Elain has carried out school outreach programs outside Gaborone, teaching leadership, SRHR, empowerment, and financial literacy, equipping young people with life skills that strengthen their overall well-being. She also serves on the African Young Girls Festival committee under FEMNET, helping co-create spaces where girls lead boldly and shape policies that affect their lives.

A fellow of the African Women Leadership Academy (TAWLA), Elain continues to build her leadership and advocacy skills, integrating healthcare knowledge, community action, and regional advocacy to champion holistic health and sustainable development. As a radio host, mentor, and aspiring moderator/facilitator, she amplifies youth voices and fosters community-driven solutions for a just and inclusive Africa.
