Elzette Rousseau is a socio-behavioural and implementation scientist at the Desmond Tutu Health Foundation (DTHF) with a PhD in Behavioural Medicine. She has been involved in implementing and evaluating community-based sexual and reproductive health services for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) for >10 years including scaling up PrEP (oral, dapivirine ring and injectable PrEP). She holds membership of the South Africa’s PrEP Technical Working Group and is part of WomenLiftHealth Southern Africa focused on empowering women leaders to collectively transform global health outcomes.
