Biography
Fiona Burns, PhD, FRCP, is a Professor of Epidemiology & HIV at the Institute for Global Health, University College London where she is Director of the Centre for Clinical Research in Infection & Sexual Health. She is the HIV Clinical lead at the Royal Free Hospital and leads the vaccine clinical trial team. Her research expertise lies in mixed methods research bringing together social, clinical, & implementation science. Fiona has a particular interest in health care access, engagement and social inequalities, as well as migrant health. She helped lead on the BHIVA HIV Standards of Care and is part of the core project team for the ECDC/EACS Standards of Care.
