Biography
Francesca Ceddia currently serves as Senior Vice President, Head Respiratory Vaccines, Global Medical at Moderna, where she is accountable for the leadership, development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy for the respiratory portfolio including COVID19, Influenza, RSV vaccines and all other respiratory vaccine candidates in the pipeline.
Francesca is a medical doctor specialized in respiratory diseases from the University of Siena, Italy. Following a period of clinical practice, she joined the Pharmaceutical sector covering a variety of roles across Research and Development, including Clinical Development and Medical affairs.
During her carrier, Francesca has led the development of several vaccine candidates, particularly combination vaccines and has overseen the medical affairs strategy across various infectious disease areas and age groups, including pediatric combinations, meningococcal, influenza, shingles, RSV vaccines.
Her most recent work was dedicated to addressing vaccination gaps across all age groups, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccination needs of adults.
