Biography
Dr. Gisele Mujawamariya, M.Sc., is a dedicated medical professional with a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Master of Science in Global Health Delivery. She currently serves as the HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment Director at the Rwanda Biomedical Centre (RBC), where she oversees the delivery of comprehensive care and treatment services for people living with HIV in Rwanda. In this role, she fosters collaborations and engages with partners to achieve effective HIV/AIDS epidemic control. Previously, Dr. Gisele was an integral member of the Rwandan Joint Task Force against COVID-19, where she helped identify emerging issues, develop mitigation strategies, and support vaccination efforts. She has also practiced as a medical doctor at Kigali Teaching Hospital and Muhima District Hospital after graduating from Guangxi Medical University in China. Dr. Gisele is involved in various technical teams focused on controlling the HIV/AIDS. Her areas of interest include designing strategies for disease surveillance and control, utilizing data to inform health programs, and advocating for equitable healthcare access, especially for marginalized populations. Through her work, Dr. Gisele is committed to improving health outcomes and reducing disparities within the healthcare system.
