Biography

Cheng Hong obtained her Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from University of South Australia in 2006. She pursued Advanced Diploma in Critical Care Nursing in 2007 and worked in Medical Intensive Care unit and Neuro Intensive Care Unit for 7 years.

She continues her career as a Specialised Nurse Clinician in the Community to look after Ventilator assisted/dependent patients.

In 2019, she completed Master of Nursing from National University of Singapore. She then embarked on her journey as an Infectious Disease APN in National Centre for Infectious Disease/Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She became a collaborative prescriber after completing the National Collaborative Prescribing Programme in 2022 from National University of Singapore. She underwent extensive Geriatric training during her Master of Nursing studies as elective posting and further her clinical exposure in various Geriatric sub-specialties as an ID APN.

Her area of practice includes providing care for people living with HIV as well as for patient with general Infectious Disease conditions. Her clinical interest is in caring for PLHIV with metabolic syndromes and Geriatric conditions. She runs a HIV comorbidity clinic to provide holistic care for PLHIV with metabolic syndromes. She also runs a Geriatric Syndrome Screening Clinic to address age related issues.
