Biography

Hyung Joon Kim is a Professor of Gastroenterology specializing in liver diseases at Chung-Ang University Hospital. Currently, he serve as the Director of the Digestive Disease Center and the Head of the Division of Gastroenterology. In addition, Professor Kim is the Secretary General of the Korean Association for the Study of the Liver (KASL). His main research interest is in chronic hepatitis B, and he has long represented the Association in matters related to Korea’s national health insurance policies for hepatitis care.
