Biography

Dr. Jung-Hwan Park is the Chief Technology Officer at QuadMedicine and a visionary pioneer in microneedle technology, bringing over 25 years of extensive experience in pharmaceutical formulation and advanced drug delivery systems. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was among the earliest inventors to conceptualize and develop microneedle technology. His groundbreaking work laid the critical foundation for the clinical translation of microneedle-based delivery systems designed for vaccines and therapeutics. Dr. Park remains deeply engaged in the global microneedle research and regulatory communities, serving as a valued member of the International Microneedle Association and the PATH-led regulatory working group. At QuadMedicine, he spearheaded the successful development of the world’s first microneedle array patch (MAP) for the hepatitis B vaccine to enter Phase 1 clinical trials, accomplishing significant regulatory milestones with Korean MFDS approval. His profound expertise in microneedle innovation, clinical development, and regulatory strategy is driving transformative advancements in next-generation vaccine delivery platforms worldwide. Dr. Park’s leadership continues to push the boundaries of how vaccines and therapeutics can be delivered more safely, effectively, and conveniently to improve global health.
