Biography
Jyoti Pariyar is a development professional and youth activist with over five years of experience in the HIV, TB, youth, and women’s rights sectors in Nepal. Her work spans health, education, human rights, and community development, with a strong focus on advancing equitable and inclusive responses for women and young people living with HIV.
She currently serves as Program Manager at the National Federation of Women Living with HIV and AIDS (NFWLHA), where she leads the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of national-level programs, including catalytic-funded HIV and TB interventions. In this role, she provides strategic oversight, strengthens community-led approaches, and contributes to evidence-based advocacy and policy engagement at multiple levels.
Previously, Jyoti served as a Youth Program Officer and Advocacy Officer at NFWLHA, where she supported policy advocacy initiatives, community mobilization, proposal development, and stakeholder coordination at local, national, and regional platforms. She has actively contributed to regional and international dialogues across the Asia-Pacific on feminist leadership, HIV response, human rights, psychosocial support, governance, and results-based monitoring.
Jyoti holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development from Mid-West University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Kathmandu University. She serves as an Executive Board Member of the International Community of Women Living with HIV Asia Pacific (ICWAP) and is widely recognized for her leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to strengthening the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of women and young people living with HIV.
