Biography
Kabo Ng'ombe is a Principal Information, Education, and Communication Officer at the National AIDS and Health Promotion Agency (NAHPA) in Botswana, with over two decades of experience in health promotion, strategic communications, and HIV prevention programming. She currently oversees national-level coordination of the Adolescents and Young People (AYP) Programming, including the DREAMS initiative, serves as the focal person for the National Comprehensive Condom Program, and leads communication strategies for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).
Kabo’s expertise spans the design and implementation of evidence-based behaviour change interventions, the development of total market approaches for HIV prevention commodities, and the integration of cross-sectoral strategies to strengthen public health outcomes. She has led the development of multi-platform IEC campaigns, coordinated national and district-level stakeholders, and facilitated training aimed at enhancing media engagement and community mobilization.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Walter Sisulu University and a Diploma in Health Education from the University of Botswana affiliates. Her academic background includes specialization in epidemiology, biostatistics, public administration, and primary health care. Kabo is a member of the Botswana Professional Health Educators and Promoters Association (BOPHEPA).
