Biography
Dr Keerti Gedela is a Consultant Physician at 56 Dean Street, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, Senior Clinical Researcher in Global Health, and Health Equity in Research Lead for the NIHR Research Delivery Network, North London. Her work sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, global health research, implementation science, and public engagement, with a focus on improving equity in access to care and participation in research.
She has worked across Southern Africa, India, Brazil, and Indonesia in HIV, infectious diseases, clinical research, program development, and medical education, with experience spanning diverse healthcare and community settings.
Keerti is Co–Primary Investigator of the PRYSMA Trial, a UK–Indonesia partnership evaluating STI prevention interventions, including antibiotic prophylaxis strategies, in real-world Indonesian settings. Since 2019, she has built sustained research and community collaborations in Indonesia, leading and contributing to UKRI/MRC-funded programs focused on acute HIV infection, digital health innovation, and community-led approaches to prevention and care, including the CekUpYuk platform.
In the UK, she leads the development of system-level approaches to inclusive clinical research. Alongside her academic work, she is an award-winning filmmaker, using creative methods to bridge data, lived experience, and public dialogue in health.
