Biography
Letizia Carrara is a pharmacometrician in the Clinical Pharmacometrics group at Servier, in Paris.
She is a bioengineer by training, and in 2018 she received a PhD in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics at the University of Pavia after a 3-year activity on mathematical modelling for drug development. During the PhD she spent 6 months as a visiting scientist at the University College of London (UCL).
Her main areas of expertise are Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling for first time in human (FTIH) predictions, drug-drug interaction (DDI) simulations, dosing in special populations, absorption modelling and food effect predictions in oncology and infectious and CNS diseases.
She also has expertise in Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) and Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) modelling, mainly in the oncology area, and she has knowledge of Bayesian estimation.
