Biography

Dr. Marilia Bordignon Antonio is a physician specializing in Infectious Diseases, with a particular focus on the care of people living with HIV. Throughout her professional career, she has dedicated herself to improving clinical outcomes and advancing research in this field, increasingly recognizing the unique health challenges faced by older adults with HIV. Motivated by this growing need, she has progressively directed her career toward Geriatrics. She is currently enrolled in a postgraduate certificate program in Geriatric Medicine, complementing her infectious disease expertise with a geriatric perspective. Her academic work seeks to strengthen multidisciplinary and integrative models of care, bridging infectious disease and geriatrics.
