Biography

Dr. Martin Obermeier completed his medical training at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich where he successfully completed his studies in 2002 with a grade of 1.49.

In 2006, Dr. Obermeier completed his doctoral thesis entitled ‘Development of a highly sensitive assay for the determination of reverse transcriptase activity’ with magna cum laude honours.

He has been a licensed specialist in laboratory medicine since 2012.

In his current position as Head of Laboratory at the German Heart Centre Berlin (DHZB) and at the Medical Centre for Infectious Diseases in Berlin MVZ mib AG, Dr. Martin Obermeier has extensive experience in managing laboratories and performing complex diagnostic procedures.

He is also a lecturer in medical informatics at the University of Augsburg and in medical virology at Charité Berlin. These teaching activities enables him to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of medical students.
