Biography
Michaela Tomanová is a PhD candidate in Nutritional and Metabolic Sciences at the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague. Her research focuses on metabolic and nutritional health among people living with HIV, with a particular interest in prevention of cardiometabolic comorbidities and improving long-term quality of life. She conducts her research at the Clinic of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at Bulovka University Hospital and collaborates with international research teams in the United States and Thailand.
Beyond her academic work, she is an ambassador for the Czech AIDS Help Society and actively participates in initiatives aimed at HIV awareness, prevention, and destigmatization. Through her work, she aims to bridge clinical research, public health advocacy, and community engagement to improve comprehensive care for people living with HIV.
