Biography

Modester Mangilani is from Malawi and is an advocate for women’s rights, youth empowerment, HIV, and SRHR, with over seven years of experience leading initiatives focused on adolescents and young women (AGYW). Her work promotes equal access to economic opportunities, youth-friendly health services, and meaningful youth engagement. As the READY+ Project Lead at Y+ Global, Modester leads youth-centred advocacy across multiple countries, working to advance SRHR, HIV response, and gender equality. She is passionate about ensuring young people are at the centre of solutions, and remains committed to driving change through inclusive, intentional, data-driven, and intersectional youth-led advocacy.
