Biography

Myagmardorj (Miigaa.) has served, since 2009, as the Executive Director of the Youth for Health Center, a leading Mongolian NGO dedicated to HIV/STI prevention among gay and bisexual men and transgender women, and to advancing public understanding of sexual orientation, gender identity, and LGBTI rights. He has been deeply involved in HIV research and community‑based programming since 2008, including long‑term collaborations with Japanese institutions, Global Fund–supported initiatives, PrEP and HIV self‑testing pilots, and multiple national biological and behavioral surveillance studies. His work also spans community‑led monitoring, human‑rights research, and studies on MSM and transgender health in partnership with UNAIDS and international universities.

Beginning his career as a volunteer and outreach worker, he now brings two decades of experience in community engagement, program design, and advocacy. His current interests focus on strengthening MSM involvement in HIV responses and reducing stigma and discrimination toward MSM and people living with HIV in Mongolia.
