Biography
Ndumiso Madubela is a skilled socio-behavioural scientist with a demonstrated history in health research and education, Men’s health seeking behaviours, community-level responses to HIV/AIDS, and community & stakeholder engagement. His current research interests as doctoral candidate, relate to engaging men and investigating interventions that improve accessibility and uptake of sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention and treatment services among young people and HIV testing.
Ndumiso is highly successful in qualitative research management, facilitation and analysis, strategy, consulting, programme design and implementation, particularly in the area of finding interventions that not only address the needs of young people, but tailored services which are particularly needed in lower socio-economic communities where the burden of disease is highest.
Ndumiso is an agile, curious, and highly driven professional who is passionate about infectious diseases, HIV prevention and public health. He has a demonstrated history of working in healthcare, and program implementation with local and International donors (The Global fund) as a program specialist for one of the principal recipients (NACOSA). He has strong interests in investigating interventions that improve accessibility and uptake of sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention and treatment services among young people. Other areas in which he has been engaged in relate to, gender-based violence, strategic HIV prevention, promotion of VMMC, resource mobilization , issues relating to barriers to ART uptake, PrEP acceptability and adherence and improving the delivery of SRH services to young people, Adolescent perceived risk behaviour and HIV prevention.
