Biography
Nyampurev Galsanjamts is a public health and community development professional from Mongolia who has been working in the fields of HIV, sexual and reproductive health, human rights, and community engagement since 2009. He currently serves as a Consultant at Youth for Health Center NGO, supporting Global Fund-funded HIV programs and Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) initiatives in Mongolia.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Enkh-Orchlon University and completed an academic residency program at the University of Virginia Center for Politics in the United States.
Over the past 15 years, Mr. Galsanjamts has worked closely with community-based organizations and key populations, particularly men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender communities. He has held leadership and program management positions in HIV prevention, community mobilization, advocacy, and health service programs, contributing to the development of community-led responses and health systems in Mongolia.
Since 2010, he has been actively involved in the implementation of the HIV stigma reduction awareness program Living Under the Same Sky and the Internet Survey on HIV Testing Behavior among Mongolian MSM, conducted in collaboration with Nagoya City University School of Nursing and Gifu University of Health Sciences, Japan.
Since 2022, he has contributed to the introduction and implementation of Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) in Mongolia, supporting the development of monitoring processes, community engagement, data collection, analysis, reporting, and advocacy efforts. He has represented Mongolia at national, regional, and international conferences and has contributed to several publications and studies related to HIV prevention, community health, and human rights.
