Biography

Dr. Sogaard is a M.D., Ph.D. at the Department of Infectious Diseases at Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark. As a physician-scientist with training both in basic science immunology/virology and clinical medicine, his research has mainly been focused on the understanding of HIV-1 pathogenesis and persistence, including clinical investigations into immune modulation therapies and reversal of HIV-1 latency. Dr. Sogaard is co-director of the Danish clinical HIV latency and cure research group.
