Biography

Kemi Musa is a Special Olympics Nigeria athlete who loves to play basketball. She was part of the basketball team that won Silver Medal at the 2019 Special Olympics World Summer Games at Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirate.

Kemi is also a Special Olympics Nigeria athlete leader. As an athlete leader, she participated in the Unified Leadership Workshop in Dublin, Ireland, a program attended by several athlete leaders from different Special Olympics programs globally.

Recently, she and her unified partner planned and implemented the Stronger Together Initiative, geared towards raising awareness about the inclusion movement and raise more youth leaders in tertiary institutions.

She also participated in the:

  • WE DECIDE West and Central Africa Regional Workshop on Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Guidelines for People living with Disabilities in Abuja sponsored by the United Nations Populations Fund and contributed to discussions during the workshop;
  • UAE embassy in Abuja's SK Tolerance Run along-side other athletes and program staff, an initiative created to promote unity among people of different backgrounds; and
  • ESPN unified sports implementation program.
