Biography

Dr. Premitha Damodaran is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and a leading advocate for menopause and midlife women’s health based in Kuala Lumpur. She is the President of the College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Academy of Medicine Malaysia, and Chair of the Menopause & Midlife Women’s Health Committee of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia.

In 2022, she led the development of Malaysia’s internationally recognised Clinical Practice Guidelines for Menopause (2022). In 2024, she was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the International Menopause Society.

A passionate clinician-educator and researcher, she also serves on multiple international and national guideline panels for menopause and osteoporosis, and continues to champion culturally sensitive, menopause and midlife women’s health care for Asian women.
