Biography

Remko van Leeuwen is an entrepreneurial MD/PhD with over 35 years of experience in infectious diseases, spanning both scientific and commercial environments. He is Strategic Advisor and senior staff member of Aidsfonds – SOA Aids Nederland where he is leading strategic initiatives on HIV cure research funding, including development of innovative financing mechanisms and European policy advocacy. He is member of the IAS Towards an HIV Cure Advisory Board, member of the Advisory Committee on Public Health Emergencies (ACPHE) as well as the Joint Industrial Cooperation Forum of HERA (pandemic preparedness authority) committee of the European Commission.
