Biography

Dr. Romanee Chaiwarith is Professor of Medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. She is Head of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine and Site PI for the TREAT Asia Network and the IeDEA Asia-Pacific Research Collaboration. She has more than 20 years of experience in the care of PLWHA and her research focuses on opportunistic infections and co-infections in PLWHA, particularly talaromycosis, which is prevalent in northern Thailand.
