Biography

Salwa Aleryani is a Health Specialist at the UNICEF East Asia Pacific Regional Office, covering 14 UNICEF countries offices. She has over 2 decades of experience in supporting maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (MNCAH) and nutrition, immunization, HIV/AIDS, mental health programming through health systems strengthening and Primary Health Care in developing and humanitarian settings. In her current role she supports technical assistance in the knowledge-sharing of updated guidance and capacity building for delivery of equitable, quality health interventions along the life course. She contributes to building regional partnerships and collaborations with UNs/H6 partners, civil societies, professional associations, academia, private sector, young people and other stakeholders for achieving SDGs related to child health. She supports in evidence generation for informing policy dialogue and advocacy for child rights to health, with adjusting strategies to respond to shifting regional demographic and epidemiological transitions. She has worked in the UNICEF country offices in Yemen, Lebanon and Laos.
