Biography

Dr. Steve Taylor is a Consultant Physician in Sexual Health and HIV Medicine at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, UK. He has been the Clinical Service and Research Lead for the HIV Service for over 20 years.

He is an Honorary Reader in the Department of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Birmingham, Medical Director and founder of the Saving Lives Charity, Consultant advisor for HM Armed forces, and Clinical Chair of the Birmingham Fast Track Cities Initiative.

His Ph.D. thesis was on the sexual transmission of HIV and the impact of antiviral therapy on the male genital tract. During this time, he developed an interest in HIV pharmacology and drug resistance areas in which he has presented and published widely. He is currently the PI on several International Clinical trials and has been involved with the International Clinical Pharmacology Workshop since it started.
