Biography

Dr. Temitope Ojo is a highly skilled public health professional with research expertise in implementation science, infectious disease, and noncommunicable disease epidemiology. She is a Research track Assistant Professor of Medicine and a co-Associate Director of the Light Institute for Global Health Transformation in the Infectious Diseases Division at WashU Medicine. Dr. Ojo is committed to turning bold ideas into practical healthcare solutions that last. She harnesses the power of social connections to make evidence-based interventions stick by blending Implementation Science with participatory approaches such as co-design and crowdsourcing. Her work empowers adolescents, young adults, women, and communities—especially in low-resource settings—to not only embrace public health innovations but leverage homegrown assets, including social connections, to sustain them.
