Biography
Tetsuya Hosaka is the Associate Director of Hepatology at Toranomon Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. Since earning his medical degree in 1998 and completing his specialized training in 2001, Dr. Hosaka has dedicated his career to the clinical management and research of liver disease including viral hepatitis and liver cancer. His leadership is further evidenced by his roles as a Councilor for both JSH and JSGE, and a Fellow of AASLD. Dr. Hosaka’s research has had a significant global impact, particularly his landmark 2013 publication in HEPATOLOGY regarding the suppression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) through entecavir treatment, which has been cited over 500 times. He continues to drive excellence in clinical hepatology and academic leadership. His research interests focus on hepatitis B and C, steatotic liver disease, and liver cancer.
