Biography

Tom Jacobs obtained his PharmD from Utrecht University in 2018 and completed his PhD at Radboud university medical center in 2024. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Radboudumc and a hospital pharmacy resident at Tergooi Medical Center, both located in The Netherlands.

His research focuses on accelerating access to anti(retro)virals and other anti-infective medicines for children through clinical pharmacology. He collaborates in equitable partnerships with researchers across Europe and sub-Saharan Africa and has (co-)authored over 25 scientific publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.

Tom is actively committed to improving HIV treatment for children globally through his roles in the WHO Paediatric Antiretroviral Working Group and the Penta/EACS Paediatric HIV Guidelines Group.
