Dr Tonderai Mabuto is an Implementation Scientist at The Aurum Institute in Johannesburg, South Africa. His work focuses on strengthening transitions in care within HIV and TB programmes across sub-Saharan Africa, particularly during periods when people are most vulnerable to falling out of care. He offers technical assistance to implementation teams and collaborates with multidisciplinary groups to conduct implementation research that generates practical insights, enhancing the use of evidence-based interventions. He completed postdoctoral training in implementation science through programs at Yale, UNC, and Johns Hopkins. Tonderai is also active in building implementation science capacity in Southern Africa and serves on the editorial board of Implementation Science Communications.
