Biography

Dr. Trupti Gilada is an Infectious Diseases physician based in Mumbai, India, with expertise in HIV, tuberculosis, and other opportunistic infections, including those with drug resistance. She completed her training in Internal Medicine at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, followed by her post-doctoral Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Harvard and HIV and Drug Abuse Fellowship under IAS/ANRS at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle.

She is currently Director at Unison Medicare and Research Centre, one of India’s first private comprehensive infectious diseases and HIV/STI care centers in Mumbai. She leads the MDR-TB clinic at Unison under the National TB Elimination Program. Her work spans clinical care, research, and programmatic initiatives in HIV and TB, particularly addressing real-world challenges in diverse age groups and resource-limited settings. Dr. Gilada is also a Governing Council member and currently the Joint Secretary of the AIDS Society of India, and has been actively involved in public health initiatives, policy engagement, and clinician education.
