Biography
Dr. Win Min Han is a research fellow at the Kirby Institute, UNSW Sydney. He is a clinical epidemiologist whose work focuses on HIV-associated comorbidities in ageing populations. He completed his PhD from the Kirby Institute, with a particular emphasis on HIV treatment outcomes and comorbidities in the Asia–Pacific region. His current research examines ageing-related conditions, including metabolic, liver, and other non-communicable diseases among people living with HIV. He is actively involved in large international cohort collaborations, including IeDEA Asia–Pacific (TAHOD), HIVNAT Thai cohort, RESPOND, and the Advancing Clinical Therapeutics Globally (ACTG). Through these platforms, he contributes to multidisciplinary studies that integrate clinical, epidemiological, and biomarker data to address key questions in HIV medicine. His research often involves longitudinal cohort data analysis, clinical trials, and advanced epidemiological methods to evaluate treatment outcomes, disease progression, and risk prediction.
