Prof. Dr. P.M.L.A. (Patricia) van den Bemt is a hospital pharmacist working as head of the section patient care in the department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology of the University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands. She is also appointed as a professor in clinical pharmacy, in particular pharmaceutical health services research. In addition, she is an epidemiologist and clinical pharmacologist. Her research focuses on medication safety, and she has published over 170 peer reviewed papers. She is a member or chair of several Dutch committees, among which the Academic Network of Northern Pharmacies and the Scientific Advisory Board of the Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association.
