Pr Slim Fourati, MD, PhD, is Full Professor in Clinical Virology and university lecturer at the Henri Mondor Hospital, Paris-Est University and INSERM U955 in Créteil, France. He earned his medical degree at the University of Medicine in Tunis, Tunisia, his Master in Molecular Virology at the Pasteur Institute, Paris, France and his doctoral degree at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France on HIV restriction factors and HIV drug resistance. He has joined the research group of Prof. Jean-Michel Pawlotsky to focus his research on HCV drug resistance and on respiratory viruses including RSV and coronaviruses. He is currently leading the French National Respiratory Viruses group within the Virology network of the Agency for Research on AIDS, Viral Hepatitis and Emerging infectious diseases (ANRS-MIE).
